This ad is great. I watched it about 20 times critiquing it, trying to find something wrong and I couldn’t. This ad is far more informative than the previous iPad ad. What I really loved most was the way Apple positioned the question, “What is iPad”? From there they (Apple) communicated all the benefits and features of the product in an easy, straight-forward fashion. Again, stellar job Apple!
*Now when I say “Good Ad”, I mean one that accurately reflects the brand (Apple) and the product (iPad). A “Bad Ad” obviously is one that DOES NOT accurately reflect the brand and the product.*
What do you think Good Ad or Bad Ad?

- Good Ad/Bad Ad – Apple iPad
Apple’s newest addition to their product line, the iPad, was released this past Saturday and with that communication channels will be blitzed with iPad advertisements. When I say “Good Ad”, I mean one that accurately reflects the brand (Apple) and the product (iPad). A “Bad Ad” obviously is one that DOES NOT accurately reflect the [...]
- Good Ad/Bad Ad: Apple iPhone 4 “Face Time”
GREAT AD! Highlights functionality out the gate. Doesn’t show ALL the features of the iPhone 4, but it showcases maybe the most coveted feature called “Face Time”. Face Time gives you the ability to make video calls, essentially you get two cameras and two views. Apple also blended it with everyday experiences that people can [...]
- Good Ad/Bad Ad: Sprint EVO
Sprint did a few good things here, but they also did a couple things wrong too. The best part about what they did here was in the positioning. The narrator and the video reel suggested and positioned the EVO as the “first 4G phone”. Positioning yourself as the first or leader in a category has [...]
- Good Ad/Bad Ad: Yahoo! “Flashing Lights”
I see exactly what Yahoo! was trying to do here and I even gave this one a fake/dry laugh, but seriously Yahoo!, this is it?! Honestly it was like watching a spoof of some sort. Yahoo! is positioning itself as the go-to source for celebrity news. In doing that, I think they did a good [...]
- “Think Different”
This “Think Different” is the tagline of the tech savvy Goliath named Apple Inc. Thinking and being different is something all brands should practice. Apple differentiates itself from it’s competitors by focusing on innovative design and user experience. EVERY brand needs to have differentiating qualities because ALL successful brands do. It may have been taboo [...]

yeah – I agree.. that's a good Ad! I'm kinda partial to Mac as it is, but all biased opinions aside, that was the coolest advertisement I think I've ever seen.
I think that is a great ad, but Apple is a powerhouse.
This add is leaps and bounds from the first one. I felt more let in as a non Apple user. It connects the User aspect of the pitch to the endless possibilities of the product. Something I think they left out in their first add. Your dead on about the way Apple positioned the question, “What is iPad”? It all worked in this ad. Seamless integration of product and application. From a visual stand point they made all the right changes. If you refer back to the post I made on the original ad you'll see everything I suggested they change WAS changed in this ad. This is not just a good ad this is a great ad.
I think it is a great ad. I t showed me very clearly a lot of the benefits for this toy and made to very appealing. It certainly spoke to my desire.
I love the simple manner with which you are building your blog. Genius way to piggy back on existing campaigns.
Hi Dewane,
I like the ad. I am biased, my partner just bought an ipad and is smitten with the functions, ease of use, light weight etc.
Thanks for the review
